Latest part of national drive to promote healthy lifestyles

A £30m package has been announced to help tackle the problem of obesity across the UK.

Nine cities and towns are to benefit from the latest scheme, announced by Health Secretary Alan Johnson.

The announcement is the latest in a £372m strategy to tackle obesity, announced earlier this year.

The scheme, called ‘ChangefLife' includes the Government, food retailers, charities and community groups to promote healthy lifestyles and wellbeing.
