Many instances within the NHS have highlighted the need to protect patient data when using portable memory sticks. One example includes Chelsea and Westminster Hospital Foundation trust, where an unencrypted memory stick was stolen, containing sensitive medical information of 143 patients. Williams Medical Supplies has a solution to this problem, potentially saving your practice £500,000!
The WMS SafeStick uses Government Approved AES256 encryption standards, protecting your sensitive data through password encryption. The WMS SafeStick is protected against brute force attack, configurable to lockdown or wipe the data if the wrong password is entered too many times. Memory sticks are often left inserted into computers and forgotten about, therefore WMS SafeStick also features a timer lockdown, which automatically locks itself down if there is no user activity for a configurable amount of time.
The WMS SafeStick is available in a variety of memory sizes from 1GB to 16GB.
