During a day of illusion and magic, Olympus announced four new dictation products to revolutionise professional dictation.
The new Directrec range is designed for professional users, for example within medical and legal environments with specific design features to benefit these industries.
Held at the premier magical society in the fascinating world of mystery and illusion, The Magic Circle, Olympus unveiled the DR-1200, DR-2100, DR-2200, and DR-2300.
Working as a direct microphone into your PC or MAC the DR range enables high quality recordings for improved workflow.
The ergonomic design of the products also allows both left and right handed use while promoting efficiency even in the most heavy duty use and treatment.
The DRs are designed for durability with a robust body for everyday use plus a fixed USB cable to avoid units going missing when used in environments with multiple users. Add full integration with your existing IT infrastructure and complete support via our dedicated technical service team and Olympus sets the standards.
Ease of use is improved with visual multicolour LEDs and volume control on the device itself plus five programmable buttons (four on the front and one on the back) to enable users to set their preferences for quick demands and functions.
The trackball variants (DR-1200, DR-2200 and DR-2300) allow one thumb operation for easy PC navigation; control your PC and dictation with one device to save even more time. Advanced settings such as track-ball sensitivity ensure comfort and no need for adjustment.
Cutting edge microphone and voice processing technology ensure best results in speech recognition and transcription and you can combine the SC-1 barcode module to the DR-2300 to easily link audio notes and letters with patient files.
The latest Directrec generation expands the Olympus "simple, reliable, flexible and secure" design concept, by combining it with "integration", to boost productivity to new levels.

The Olympus DR-1200, DR-2100, DR-2200 and DR-2300 USB microphones will be exclusively available at authorised Olympus Professional Line dealers from August 2011.
