G. P. Support Training Associates

G. P. Support works exclusively with general practice, designing and delivering training at training centres and on-site at G. P. surgeries. The training is primarily for administration staff but some courses and events are equally suitable for GPs, also nurses and dispensing staff. The business is based in the West Midlands and is expanding into other areas – anybody with an affinity for general practice and experience of delivering training is welcome to contact us to discuss becoming an associate.

The services available include:-

ACCREDITED TRAINING PACKAGES - Programmes written specifically for practice staff, leading to qualifications or endorsement awarded by The Institute of Leadership and Management.
The ILM Level 2 Team Leading Award - for serving and potential team leaders.
General Practice Training Programme – Stage 1, an ILM Endorsed course for new entrants, is already available with Stage 2 for more experienced staff currently being developed. Stage 3 for senior receptionists will follow.
Dealing with Staff – a modular programme with ILM endorsement is also planned.

OTHER TRAINING COURSES AND SESSIONS - including:-
Dealing with patients - A two day course to help the confidence and morale of front line staff.
One day events such as Assertive behaviour, staff appraisal, dealing with stress.
Training on Medical terminology and Summarisation of medical records with Read Codes is also available.

ON-SITE TRAINING / WORKSHOP SESSIONS - purpose designed to meet the particular needs of the individual practice.
