Essentially Medical organize free non-promotional Consultant led educational meetings that are held in GP surgeries during the lunch hour or early evening. We recognize that GPs and their colleagues are often unable to find the time to attend meetings in central locations and so we bring the hospital consultants to the GP. Pharmaceutical companies or medical equipment companies are invited to sponsor these educational sessions and with the permission of the Practice, the representative usually distributes promotional material and possibly says a few words about their product, although this is not a condition of the sponsorship.

Lunch or an early evening buffet is provided and each attendee receives a Certificate of Participation.

All our meetings are compliant with the ABPI Code of Practice and a Certificate of Compliance is available on our website.

Each meeting lasts on average one hour and offers an opportunity for all clinical staff to benefit from an educational talk and meet their local NHS Consultant. A choice of subjects per speciality is always available and meetings can be booked well in advance.
